Murder! Poison! Highway robbery! Frankly, it’s all getting a little out of hand…
Trials of Terror returns to Ely’s historic Sessions House for another riotous trip into the darker – and decidedly more dramatic – side of crime and punishment!
Take your seat in the courtroom as three dastardly cases come before the court. There’s been a murder most foul, someone has been up to no good with poison, and a highway robber has been relieving innocent travellers of rather more than the weight of their purses.
But who’s guilty? Who’s innocent? And who has an excuse so ridiculous it might actually work?
Meet our colourful collection of accused criminals, hear the evidence, enjoy the courtroom theatrics and help decide whether those standing in the dock deserve punishment… or whether they’ve been terribly misunderstood!
Expect history, mystery, audience participation, questionable characters and plenty of laughs as the Sessions House courtroom comes alive once again.
Order in the court! Trials of Terror is about to begin…
A note from the court: Seating is unreserved and, in the interests of your posterior, we strongly recommend bringing a cushion! Comfort wasn’t always at the forefront of the minds of the Justices of the Peace when furnishing their courtroom…
A Bar will be available before the event and during the interval.
Doors Open 6.45pm and ticket holders are requested to be in their seats no later than 7.25pm, otherwise you may be held in contempt of court…. and viewing is terribly restricted from the cells!
