Function Room

For a meeting room with a difference, why not consider booking the Tithe Office at Oliver Cromwell’s House.

This atmospheric, 17th Century, oak panelled room, is perfect for a variety of meetings, away days, corporate or social functions. We also hire the whole house for filming purposes as well as Paranormal Investigations or team building exercises. We offer refreshments teas, coffees, and biscuits, plus a lunch menu of hot/cold platters, or sandwiches.

In Cromwell’s time, this is the very room where he would have sat to oversee the locals bringing corn and produce in order the pay their ‘tithes’ or taxes. In other words it was the Tax Office! Today, the Tithe Office has been restored to retain its character and charm and makes for an excellent function room venue.

We are happy to arrange tours of Oliver Cromwell’s House as part of your package or perhaps a city guided walk. Please enquire and we will endeavour to develop the best package for you.
