Oliver Cromwell's House

29 St Mary's Street
Ely

Cambs

When the doors close, the lights dim and the last visitors have gone home… is Oliver Cromwell’s House really empty?

Step inside one of Ely’s oldest and most atmospheric buildings for a very different journey through its 800 years of history.

Restless Souls takes you beyond the familiar story of Oliver Cromwell and into the darker tales, strange happenings and unexplained encounters associated with this ancient house. By low light, explore rooms that have witnessed centuries of life, death, conflict and change – and hear accounts of the ghostly figures, mysterious footsteps and unsettling experiences reported within its walls.

Who – or what – still lingers here after dark?

With the House closed to the outside world and night drawing in, familiar rooms take on an altogether different character. Discover the stories behind the hauntings, delve into centuries of superstition and the supernatural, and perhaps experience something you can’t quite explain for yourself… all told by those who have experienced the happenings first hand.

The House has stood for centuries. Not everyone who entered may have left.
