The plot
An ancient chamber used centuries ago by the Order of the Knights Templar and their successors has recently been discovered by curator, Ophelia Winters. She has been tasked by the Museum and Library of St George to locate and recover the long-lost holy relics and Templar treasures that lay hidden within the tomb,
However, she is in danger. Her quest has attracted unwanted attention from an elusive secret society called the ‘Guild of Shadows’ that are planning to steal them for their own sinister ends. Ophelia has hired a mercenary, Nathan Spears, to stall them and allow time for a trusted team of treasure hunters to enter the crypt and search for the artefacts.
Can YOU join her expedition and explore the chamber to find all the sacred relics and escape before the Guild Shadows arrive? It’s a race against time…….
About our Escape Room
Whilst there are now several Escape Rooms about, we believe Oliver Cromwell’s House offers something that no other Escape Room experience can – the location and the atmosphere. Launched in September 2016 the games have been designed around the heritage of the building and the connection with Oliver Cromwell although being a history geek will not help you one bit! After a short briefing, you will enter the Escape Room and find yourself in Cromwell’s former Tithe Office, an original 17th-century, oak-panelled room, where Oliver would have counted  the income Â
Gather your friends, family or work colleagues together and book your session today. The activity also lends itself to families, the corporate market, work parties or even young people’s parties (aged 13 to 16). Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.
Terms and Conditions
The game is designed for a maximum of six players – no groups larger than this will be admitted. Refunds will not be given unless extreme circumstance and at the discretion of Oliver Cromwell’s House.
Entrance to the game will not be permitted if participants arrive more than 10 minutes late for their allotted time and this has an impact on the following games – Refunds will not be given unless extreme circumstance and at the discretion of Oliver Cromwell’s House.
