In the authors opinion the greatest men that England ever produced were Oliver Cromwell and Winston Churchill. Both were men of destiny. Churchill succeeded a weak leadership and can rightly be regarded as Britain’s saviour in the Second World War. Under Lord Protector Oliver Cromwell’s leadership, the country was ushered into the modern age. A resident of the Fens Cromwell raised the country to a pinnacle of respect and disciplined outlook and introduced constitutional monarchy.
